Welcome to Warsop Parish Council

Welcome to Warsop Parish Councils website. We aim to provide information about the Parish Council, council events/activities, meetings and the latest news from all parts of Warsop Parish.

Warsop Town Hall

Warsop Town Hall is the home to Warsop Parish Council and was formerly the offices of Warsop Urban District Council and local offices of Notts County Council. The building itself is now run and managed by Lifespring Church and Centre.

The Locum Clerk, Belina Boyer has an office in the Town Hall, which is usually open on Mondays and Wednesdays, 10.30am – 4.30pm or by appointment. The clerk is happy to help face to face with all questions related to the Parish Council and provide a signposting service wherever possible. Being the only employee, however may mean that she may be required to work elsewhere.

The Parish Council are very proud to fund a Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) which runs from an office within the Town Hall every Wednesday as a drop-in surgery from 9am – 1pm.

The Warsop Parish Police Team and Neighbourhood Wardens have separate offices in Warsop Town Hall and is used as a base for them to write up reports or arrange appointments to save them travelling out of the Parish and into Mansfield. The Parish Council fought to keep a police presence in Warsop Parish after the closure of the Warsop police station.

Warsop Parish Council has a vacancy for the role of councillor

No election has been called since the vacancy arose, which means the council is now free to co-opt.

Being a parish councillor is an unpaid role.

If you are an enthusiastic and engaged member of the community and want to make a long-lasting change, have innovative ideas or have concerns about a specific issue Warsop Parish Council would like to hear from you. This is an opportunity to make a real difference.

The work Warsop Parish Council does is exciting and rewarding. An integral part of a councillor's role is engaging with local people, groups, and businesses to determine their needs, making decisions on the services and projects the council should take forward, and getting involved to ensure services meet the community's needs.

If this is you, please apply by completing a co-option form. This is available by emailing the clerk at clerk@warsop-pc.gov.uk or calling 07869 725 227 for a hard copy.
