Extraordinary Meeting Minutes 18 December 2024

MINUTES of the Extraordinary Parish Council Meeting to discuss and sign the lease from Lifespring Church, to agree the payment of the Lifespring water invoice and discuss the Parish Council’s community award nominee, held at the Town Hall in the Council Chambers on WEDNESDAY 18TH DECEMBER 2024 at 6.00pm.

3/1812. DISCUSS AND SIGN THE LEASE AGREEMENT FROM LIFESPRING CHURCH

This item was deferred due to the council’s solicitor waiting for a response from Lifespring Church.

4/1812. DISCUSS AND AGREE TO SPLIT THE WATER INVOICE GIVEN TO LIFESPRING CHURCH

The Chairperson explained he had meeting with 2 members of Lifespring Church along with the Clerk and Assistant Clerk. After some discussion it was suggested that the council pay half of the original invoice.

RESOLVED: The council will pay £214 which is half of the water invoice.

5/1812. DISCUSS A NOMINEE FOR THE PARISH COUNCILS’ COMMUNITY AWARD

Members suggested Warsop Carnival, Friends of Warsop Vale and Swallows Green as possible candidates for the council’s community award for 2024-25. A discussion took place, and all members agreed that the Parish has so many wonderful groups that need recognition.

RESOLVED: The council agreed that the 2024-25 community award would go to Swallows Green for their hard work in reinstating an outdoor space for all residents young and old and running community activities.
