3/2501. RECEIVE AN UPDATE FROM THE CHAIR, VICE-CHAIR AND CLERK FROM THE MEETING WITH THE NEW CHAIR OF THE LOCAL RBL BRANCH REGARDING THE PARADE/SERVICE.
The Chair said it was a good meeting and the new RBL chairman, Adrian Garner had created some good documents for the Remembrance Service. He is aware that it is a Royal British Legion event not Parish Council. Adrian will be looking at adding a marching band to the parade as well as changing the route back to the original route. The Chair asked if any Cllrs would be willing to volunteer to help on the day if needed.
Cllrs Scaysbrook asked if the new chairman is aware that this event is his/RBLs responsibility. The Chair said yes, he is fully aware it is their event.
Cllr A. Wetton arrived late.
4/2501. DISCUSS THE SPEED GUN INITIATIVE PROJECT THAT IS LINKED TO THE POLICE AND NCC COUNCILLOR
Cllrs reviewed the email from Sgt Kate Long on what equipment would be needed and where it can be purchased. The money that Cllr Eddy (NCC Councillor) offered would cover the equipment that is required to start this project.
RESOLVED: The council agreed that they would apply for the money from Cllr Eddy to purchase the equipment and then co-ordinate with the police to get groups of volunteers together to target speeding hot spots.
5/2501. REVIEW AND DISCUSS THE ANONYMOUS LETTER REGARDING THE COOMUNITY LEISURE HUB
A resident had given the Chair a letter that he had received regarding the planning permission of the Community Leisure Hub. This letter was anonymous and gave different options on how the public could submit an objection letter against this application. There were no police present and no report given. The new Insp has agreed to attend a council meeting which the Clerk will arrange.
Cllr Wetton left the meeting while a proposal was made due to a conflict of interest with planning.
The Chair asked the council if they would be happy to consider sending in a letter of support for the planning application of the Community Leisure Hub.
RESOLVED: The council agreed to send a letter of support for the application.
Cllr Butler asked why Maddy Pritchard and Vibrant Warsop would be running the facility if it receives planning permission.
The Chair said that Maddy and Vibrant would not be the operator of the building. They would be organising a few community activities to run from within the Hub if planning is granted.
6/2501. CLOSE MEETING
The Chair closed the meeting.
