13/1011. WARSOP PARISH COUNCIL – UPDATE FROM THE CHAIR/CLERK IF REQUIRED

The u3a answered the councils’ questions in relation to the s137 application they submitted.

RESOLVED: It was agreed by a vote of 3 to 1 that the council would fund part of the amount they asked for. The payment would be £270, and they can look to apply again in the new financial year.

A new S137 funding application from Lifespring was discussed. The council had granted s137 funding for their project at Woodside Hall, Church Warsop but due to an arson attack the building was no longer viable. Instead, they are working with the Parish Council on an asset transfer of the Town Hall and therefore a new application has been made. Lifespring would need to return the original £6,250 that was awarded for the previous application.

RESOLVED: Lifespring will return the £6,250 funding from the previous application and members voted 3 to 1 in favour of funding this new application. The amount to be awarded is £8,000.
