You are hereby invited to attend the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council held in the Council Chambers at Warsop Town Hall on Wednesday, 21st MAY 2024 at 6.30pm.

  • 2025-1 To elect a chairman for the 2025-26 municipal year.
  • 2025-2 To elect vice chairman for the 2025-26 municipal year.
  • 2025-3 To confirm the appointment of the Locum Clerk.
  • 2025-4 To adjourn the meeting for the Public Participation: to receive questions and comments from residents of the village on any matter relating to items on this agenda. (20 minutes maximum)
  • 2025-5 To note apologies for absence.
  • 2025-6 To receive any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011 and consider any dispensation requests received by the Clerk
  • 2025-7 To receive the minutes of the previous Full Council Meeting(s) and resolve to sign these as a true record of the meeting(s).
    • Minutes of Parish Council Meeting on 28 April 2025
    • Minutes of Extraordinary Parish Council Meeting on 09 May 2025
  • 2025-8 To receive the draft minutes of the F&GP meeting held on 23 April 2025 and consider the recommendations therein for approval.
  • 2025-9 To receive the Clerk’s report.
  • 2025-10 To review the following in accordance with Standing Orders specific to the Annual Meeting or resolve to defer to a future meeting:
    • Review of delegation arrangements to committees, sub-committees, staff and other local authorities;
    • Review of the terms of reference for committees, namely Finance and General Purposes and Staffing Committee
    • Appointment of members to existing committees;
    • Appointment of any new committees in accordance with standing order 4;
    • Review and adoption of appropriate standing orders and financial regulations based on the most recent NALC templates;
    • Review of arrangements (including legal agreements) with other local authorities, not-for-profit bodies and businesses.
    • Review of representation on or work with external bodies and arrangements for reporting back;h) Review of inventory of land and other assets including buildings and office equipment;

    • Confirmation of arrangements for insurance cover in respect of all insurable risks;
    • Review of the Council’s and/or staff subscriptions to other bodies;
    • Review of the Council’s complaints procedure;
    • Review of the Council’s policies, procedures and practices in respect of its obligations under freedom of information and data protection legislation (see also standing orders 11, 20 and 21);
    • Review of the Council’s policy for dealing with the press/media;
    • Review of the Council’s employment policies and procedures;
    • Review of the Council’s expenditure incurred under s.137 of the Local Government Act 1972 or the general power of competence.
    • Determining the time and place of ordinary meetings of the Council up to and including the next annual meeting of the Council.
  • 2025-11 To consider the Warsop Carnival Grant application and approve payment of any funding agreed.
  • Finance
    • To receive and note the bank balances and bank reconciliation to 31 March 2025
    • To receive and note the bank balances and bank reconciliation to 30 April 2025
    • To receive and note the receipts and payments for April 2025
    • To approve the payments listings for May 2025
    • To review the council’s banking arrangements and consider adding the locum clerk and RFO, Belina Boyer, to the banking mandates and internet banking to allow for efficient operation of the council’s financial affairs.
  • 2025-13 Crime Prevention – to receive a report from the Warsop Police Team
  • Receive an update from the Nottinghamshire County Councillor
  • Receive an update from Mansfield District Councillors
  • 2025-16 To receive verbal updates from Warsop Parish Council members on council business.
  • 2025-17 Warsop Parish News - Update from lead councillors
  • To consider commenting on the following Planning applications within the parish:
