9853. MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING - Monday 18th June 2018.
RESOLVED: Accepted as a true record.
9854. MINUTES OF THE F&GP MEETING - Wednesday 11th July 2018.
RESOLVED: Minute number 791 – The Council agreed to hold off looking for new premises until the unitary decision at Notts County Council has been taken.
The Council agreed to arrange another meeting between Mike Johnson, the Chairman and Vice-Chairman.
Minute numbers 784 to 790 were unanimously agreed.

9855. CRIME AND DISORDER
Sgt Priestley stated he struggled to get the crime figures for the last quarter. He did update on reported domestic violence figures.

The incidents are graded depending on the level of violence and risk to the victim. The police work alongside Women’s Aid who offer support and do joint visits with PCSO’s. High risk cases are dealt with by a specific team of domestic violence workers.
Karen Hardy asked the council what its view was on losing District and Borough Councils in the County Councils unitary vote.
A gentleman asked about why the Neighbourhood Plan hadn’t been mention by ‘My Mansfield’ when promoting the Local Plan.
Mike Johnson told the council that he didn’t agree with them shutting the Town Hall during the summer holidays. He said Warsop Infotech has deliveries, pick ups and course enquiries that require the Town Hall to be open.
Bill Power thanked the Carnival Committee for their hard work on a very enjoyable carnival.
Mike Johnson stated the traffic management system for the parade failed.
Bill Power raised concerns about kids riding the wrong way on High Street.
Mike Johnson raised concerns on behalf of his Infotech drop in users about kids congregating and banging on cars at the top of Yorke Terrace and Carr Lane.
9856. MATTERS ARISING FROM PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Cllr Kerr reiterated that he had worked on the Neighbourhood Plan for 4 years. He said the plan is almost complete as he had asked for some information and wording to be added back in.
Cllr Kerr believes a unitary council would mean the Parish Council could receive money to provide services like the District Council doe’s.
He also agreed with Bill Power and Mike Johnson’s comments made regarding Carr Lane and kids riding their bikes the wrong way.
The Chairman stated that unfortunately the Parish Council is a staff member down and the 2 remaining staff are entitled to their holidays. This means the times during the summer holidays will change. The lone working policy and Parish Council staff’s safety are the main priorities. The Town Hall will still be open for the services (C.A.B., Housing & MP that the Parish Council help to provide.
She also agreed with Bill Power regarding the Carnival.
9857. WARSOP PARISH COUNCIL
The Chairman advertised a scarecrow festival in Warsop Vale on 2nd September. The poster is in the notice board, on the website and an electronic copy emailed to Councillors to share on social media.
The Chairman informed councillors that they have received an electronic copy of the flag protocol and suggested they should read through it and email the Clerk with their thoughts regarding this.
RESOLVED: Cllrs will email the Clerk with their thoughts about the flag protocol.
The Chairman read out a statement from the CCG regarding the application to close the Meden Vale branch of Meden Medical Services.
RESOLVED: The Council will write to Meden Medical Services disagreeing with the closure of the Meden Vale branch.
The Chairman read out a letter from Mike Johnson, Warsop Infotech Chairman regarding the IT Support agreement and that he is unable to help at this time.
RESOLVED: The Council agreed to continue with their current IT Support consultant, Kiel Tranter.
The Council spoke about Warsop Infotech’s room rental increase now the IT Support hasn’t been agreed.
RESOLVED: The Chairman and Vice-Chairman will either speak about this at the meeting they already have with Mike Johnson or arrange a separate meeting if necessary.
The council viewed its quarterly budget.
RESOLVED: It was accepted without any comments.
This item will be deferred to the next meeting due to Cllr Moody’s absence.
The Chairman congratulated the Carnival Committee on another fantastic Carnival. There was one issue with a member of public setting fire to one of the hay bales. The Carnival Chairman reported this incident to the police.
9861. BIG WARSOP
No update due to Cllrs A. Burgin and S. Adey’s absence.
9862. WARSOP & DISTRICT NEWS
The Carnival will feature in the August edition.
Cllr Kerr asked if a petition for a new leisure centre could go in the paper. Cllr Kerr said he would email the Clerk with the wording for her to speak to the editor.

This was discussed in Public Participation. No update from Cllr S. Adey due to her absence.

9865. NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
Cllr Wetton stated he had delivered another constituency speech about the swimming pool and sports centre. The County Council are currently trying to agree a deal with Meden School. The Parish Council are currently in talks with Tim Gibbon at Meden School and another company about opening the sports centre to the public.
He also mentioned there was a big vote on the County Council becoming a Unitary Authority, the vote was 35 to 30 in favour. The next steps are to develop a business plan and to go out to public consultation.
9866. MANSFIELD DISTRICT COUNCIL
Full Council meeting Tuesday 17th July 2018.

No update due to Cllr A. Burgin’s absence.
